Today's printable is pretty self explanatory. It is a printable where you can keep track of your attendance for dance class. There are spaces across the top to put the date, and empty spaces down the side where you can write in dancer's names. You can also write in what class you are teaching and the time that it takes place.
It might seem like a simple thing, but having some basic organizational paperwork can really take the mental load off of you as a teacher. Having s few systems in place that are easy to implement, but keep you organized will help you be more present in the classroom, and will help you clear your mind and allow for more creativity. (And if you can get all that benefit...and have your organization look pretty? Double win!)
Attendance is a key part of taking a dance class, and it is so nice to be able to refer back to my attendance sheet to see who was present.(I always think I will remember, but after multiple classes it is really hard!) I like to check in with my dancers or their families if they have missed multiple classes in a row. This is just a small way that I let my students know they are seen and important to me. Sometimes I will learn about illness or injury, and it informs the way I interact with the student when they return to class.
I hope this helps with your organization, and keeps your mind clear for more important things this week!
Have a wonderful week dancing!
Whitney
